About the Business
Disability, discomfort and pain are a fact of life these days. More and more people are becoming aware of the disabled and thankfully society in general not only accepts and acknowledges their existence, but they are also trying to accommodate them. Shops in general now have to have wheelchair access and we have more and more disabled parking spaces and dropped kerbs.
In a small town up north my wife and I managed to get a more acceptable amount of dropped kerbs and parking spaces as well as toilet facilities. It took a lot of letters, phone calls, meetings with the council etc and generally loads of nagging (something my wife excels at).
Unless you travel in a wheelchair or a scooter you have no idea of the trials and pitfalls that the disabled are expected to tolerate.
