About the Business
After 20 years of running a construction business, Bob founded Access Able in 2003. Prompted by the sad loss of his father who experienced mobility problems in his later years, his building work increasingly focused on the disability sector - making life-changing adaptations to people's homes. Seeing the impact that alterations to bathrooms and kitchens and the fitting of mobility ramps and handrails had on the quality of customers' lives, was a big influence on his decision to establish Access Able.
Access Able is very much a family owned and run business. Bob's mum always helped out behind the shop counter until she sadly passed away in 2010, and her legacy has been passed on to two of his daughters. Angela keeps a tight rein on the company finances and Lisa deals with marketing and advertising.
Based in South Bristol, Access Able offers an extensive range of mobility and homecare products to assist the elderly, disabled and infirm.
